Appendicitis Post op question?

I had my appendice removed back on april 29th 2008, by trisectomy. My concern is that if I need the washroom now and then the area inside where it was removed hurts. like if I get gas the area is soar, still after 3 months, is it normal ? how long does it normally take to stop hurting at all ?
