Would you rather guy wear jeans or shorts?

I'm going to be a sopre in high school this year and I've never really worn jeans but now im rethinking it. So I was wondering if girls like guys that wear jeans or shorts better (basketball shorts that DO NOT sag). If jeans, what style?
