What was up with the Queer as Folk finale?

I know Im a lot behind the times, lol but I just finished the series on DVD, and I loved most of the series especially Debbie, and the bomb episode of the 5th season was incredible. But what was up with the series finale? They wrapped up everything so quickly and perfectly that I feel it was dishonest to its characters, anyone else agree?
