I think the bottom line is that everybody has their own opinion on when to put an animal to sleep, and in ALOT of cases it's unnecessary. I personally think that the vet should be able to refuse in certain situations. I was once given the choice to ether medicate my cat daily for the rest of her life (she had a heart condition) or put her to sleep. As she was already elderly, hated taking pills and had been blind for a number of years I decided I couldn't put her through anymore suffering and put her to sleep. I couldn't help wonder though, would the same options be given to the owner of a young, otherwise fit cat? I hate to think.

Move here, but instead go to Santa Monica College until you get residency. Then transfer to a 4 year. It's so much cheaper, plus then you can research all the schools in the area before making a final decision. And then the University's are cheaper. Live in Santa Monica or Culver City. They are both rent controlled. Mar Vista, Venice, Palms, and West L.A. are also inexpensive. All of these areas will enable you to get around by a great bus system too. I moved here from Arizona to do the same thing. I went to SMC, got my residency, transferred to UCLA, lived in Culver City, and it was awesome! I am still living here, and I graduated from UCLA with very minimal debt from doing the community college thing first. Plus, SMC is the #1 transfer school in Cali.

Need help installing Dish Network cables?

Okay I am having major issues here. When I lived with my parents, I had the Dish Network installed at their house. About a year later, I moved to a different house in the same town. I did the dish mover thing and had a new dish installed at the new place. While I did this, my Dad unhooked all the cables that were hooked to the dish at their house. Now do to some unfortunate cirstances I have to move back to their house. My Dad can't seem to figure out exactly how to hook the cables up the way they should be. I don't have the money to have dish network come rehook it all up and I do not want to sign up for a new contract with them to get it done for free. I have a 4 room service with 2 receivers. 2 rooms are dvr 2 are regular. I need step by step instructions as to how to hook up all the cables and splitters and please use idiot terms because I have no clue what technical mumbo jumbo means. Dish Network said it would be no problem to hook it up myself and it should work if it's installed right. Right now however only one of the four tvs are working. The tv1 for the dvr is the only one working and I am only getting about half the stations. He says he has it hooked up how he remembers it being but obviously that is not right. The way it needs to be hooked up is a little complicated. The living room is on the back of the house and one of the bedrooms that is on the opposite end of the house and on the front are the two tvs that need to be connected to the dvr receiver. A bedroom on the front and the other end of the house and a bedroom on the back opposite end of the house are the 2 that need to be hooked up to the regular receiver.. I have a dish 500 or pro 500 I believe. I would greatly appreciate help of someone who really knows how to give step by step instructions in lamens terms.

Why does my dog not like petting....?

My 2 year old male intact reg (trialing/show) cattle dog is very friendly and would never bite. He loves kids and he is so gentle with them (a little 4 year old girl who lives on our block loves running around with him on leash up and down the side walk. However, most adults he doesn't like being petted. He sniffs them, gives a tail wag and then goes and lays down. He is in PPT training (sence the incident i have been driving 3 3 1/2 hours one way) and even when i watch the GSD and other breeds there, they all "talk" to other people. He almost stays in constant work mode". He is VERY friendly with the people he knows WELL. He has a very dominate personality and refuses to listen to anyone but me. Does the dominate personality play a factor or what? I extensivly socalized my dog to EVERYTHING and he can be brought into a group of 300+ people (winter lights parades, kids soccer games etc) and not have one issue. Will this ignoring turn into biteing or growling? Did i not do enough socilizing with him?

well..yeah thats not enough evidence to think they neglect or abuse him. Lots of GOOD dog owners yell at their dogs because they dont know other training methods like positive reinforcement. You dont know if these people have taken their BC to any obedience school since they keep to themselves. I'd let this one go...why bother people who seem like they wouldnt handle the stress of animal police visiting in a good way. Theres lots of types of people...outgoing, quiet, stressed, happy, busy, caring, too caring, etc...just because these people are different from you doesnt mean they're bad or treat the dog bad. This dog sounds like he's a heck of a lot better off than in a overcrowded, high kill shelter. And if you really want to make a difference for dogs who do need it, you'd be great in shelter volunteering!

What are some of the causes for gastroparesis other than diabetes?

Hi I'm 26 and today I was diagnosed with a stomach motility disorder called gastroparesis. I'm not exactly sure how severe it is telling from the gastric emptying test. It showed I had 24% of my food left over in my stomach during the scans over the course of 4 hours, whereas people with proper digestion would have had only 10% left. Now I'm wondering how my vagus nerve became damaged in the first place. I read that diabetes is the most common cause of the condition, but I'm wondering what other diseases I should have ruled out. I have been having urinary symptoms, such as dark colored(orange-ish) and frequent urination. I have also had biliary colic like pain in my rib and back and seemed as if I had something wrong with my gallbladder. I have 1 aunt with diabetes that she got in her late 30's, and a common family history of hypothyroidism and gallbladder disease.

Give him so time to heal and you should see your normal baby back again. I am sure at this time his mouth is very painful and he will have to learn how to nurse again. Drinking from the is much different then drinking from a bottle. After he eats from a bottle allow him time to try to comfort nurse. He wont be hungry and will be able to try to nurse/suck without being frustrated because he is hungry. Also try about an hour after giving pain medication.

My 2 year old had cancer last year and is now in remission. The best thing is that your cousin knows that you are there for her. That she has someone to talk to, someone to cry with, someone who is willing to help in any way. It is a very hard thing for a parent to cope with, being told that their child has cancer. Our daughter had a very rare form of Leukemia, and it is scary to think how close we came to losing her. She had chemotherapy and after almost 8 months of treatment is now in remission. I am open to all sorts of ideas on treatment, although, when I thought about alternative therapies and things like that, I realised that it was not really a risk I was willing to take with my daughters life, I am not saying they don't work, but I was not going to take the chance. All the best with your cousin and I hope baby Faith will get through this.

I also have a sleepover this Thursday, so what do I need to bring if I may start menstruation at my friend's house? I also had bad cramps, so can you use period stories to make me feel better? I have 2 reasons to support that the war was at very best a marginal success & worst a horrible failure. 1)You can't change objectives mid-war & still have an overwhelming success. The main objectives for entering a war in Iraq was the capture of main leaders of Al-Quida(not sure of correct spelling) & Sadam was holding weapons of m destruction. So Bush got the clearance to proceed. We found several leaders of Al-Quida in Afghanistan but to my recollection no leaders in Iraq. And no WMD's at all. Then as it seemed overnight the objectives changed to liberation of Iraq people. WHICH IN ITSELF IS GOOD! But the reason we went was not accomplished. 2)To those that say the liberation is what made it a success or the amount of people liberated makes it successful, I ask you this. Is the liberation of a country from its current Government to a Democracy worth hundreds if not thousands of American lives? If so than one would be inclined to go into North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and Iraq's neighbor Iran. All of which 1 if not more of the following: Governments that aren't Democracies, Governments we have a very strong dislike for, or Governments that treat their people badly. But we all know invasions of any of these countries won't happen unless we get another perceived imminent threat like WMD's(which may or may not be correct again). My uncle is blind and attended a day centre with other who have mental and physical difficulties. Glasgow city council has removed them from their building to build a car park for the commonwealth games 2014. They have been forced to find new accommodation without aid and the new facilities do not meet the requirements and there is no guarantee that they can use this space for any length of time. This centre is the only source of social life my uncle has and without he would be completely housebound during the day until his brother finishes work. Well it looks like a great deck, but you have too many cards. You need to lose 10 cards somehow. We'll start with Doctor Cranium as he is way too slow and you don't need him that badly in this deck. As for your Spells, you need to first drop both copies of Final Countdown as I don't even know why they are in here. They are totally random and taking up alot of space that could be used to lighten your deck up a bit. Take out 1 copy of Telekinetic Charging Cell. You definitely need to add a 3rd copy of Emergency Teleport as it is essential in this type of deck. We have it down to 46 cards now. The Traps need an entire overhaul as there are way too many and alot of unneeded cards. With the cards you listed it leads me to believe that you probably don't have the cards I'm about to mention. Try your best to get them, if you can't then just lighten your Traps to a total of 7 and it'll even out to 40 cards. Well your Traps need 3 Solemn Judgment, 2 Mind Over Matter (if you have 3, then add the 3rd one and make your deck 41; it won't hurt you much), and 2 Psychic Overload.

What can I do to stop feeling like this ?

Lately I'm worried about how I've been acting around my boyfriend. He's such a great guy, charming, kind, romantic - but he's not ALWAYS there and for someone who's been let down in the past this can make me feel paranoid and anxious. Xbox 360 unreadable disk error?

it happens while i am playing cod world at war, and gta 4. and it rarely happens with all my other games, but still happens from time to time. i do not think my cod cd is scratched and i tried tons of cleaning methods. but it works pefectly on my freinds xbox so i think it is the xbox not my game.i tried installing the game to my hard drive, but it still happens. it normally happens when a game ends and the loading screen comes up. the worst part is i got this xbox about a week ago after waiting for mine to get repaired for about a month.

The pros and cons of being an auto mechanic?

Driver's License Question?

So, Junior Year..i took driver's ed and just to let you know i'm a nervous driver and my driver's ed teacher wasn't too happy with my driving. I thought he always favored my partner over me..anyways, in the end i took my final driver's road test and his reaction was i'll see and driver's ed ended and he never told me if i ped or failed the driver's part of the test. I ped the cl with a B- and i got my learner's permit and i was 17 then. So, i went online to isbe.net and typed my permit number in and everything and said i was not egilible to get a driver's license. It was very disappointing quite heartbreaking. So, my question is now i'm 18..what do i need to do to get a driver's license in IL? Does it matter that i failed my driver's ed road test? I ped everything else except for that. I think perhaps the addiction can be measured in the inability to quit. Or in your case, because you only smoke at most 5 a day, an unwillingness to quit. You don't want to , so you won't . I don't know if you are really addicted to the addictive substances in the cigs, for you it seems to be more of the act you are addicted to. Look I only smoke maybe 1 or 2 every few days. Sometimes my pack goes stale before I can finish it. And I only smoke in the car, I never really want one any other time. So like you it's the act of doing it that has a kind of calming effect. I love that first drag, and almost always throw it out after three or four drags. I am surly not addicted, I don't get enough to actually be addicted, and sometimes will go weeks without one. But in those times that I want one, I have one. When you really wish to quit, you will, that's the bottom line.

it depends on where you are in the country. where i live in the south moving out isn't near as hard is in the cities in the north and west. you really just need to find the monthly rent of the apartment you want to move into, add up what you will eat in groceries, and all other expenses such as health care and clothes. Do you make enough money to cover all of that? If so, save up enough to put down a security deposit on the apartment and move out.

Anyone else support an annual Winter Clic?

After watching the Winter Clic on New Year's, I thought it was an awesome national display of hockey. It was practically perfect, with it being outdoors, snowing, and with young stars like Crosby, Malkin, Miller, and Vanek on display. The ratings showed promise and it was played on New Year's where most people were probably still at home watching television recovering from the previous night. Furthermore, there wasn't any competition from any other sport so it had the spotlight to itself. I'm hoping the NHL decides to make the Winter Clic an annual event, possibly trying out a different open stadium each year to increase the exposure of this game to some possibly new fans. I also hope that they keep it on New Year's Day and make it a nationally televised event. I think this was a great move by the NHL and hopefully gets turned into an annual event. What are your opinions on making this a yearly clic event for the NHL?

I have a spreadsheet, tab 1, whereby cell A1 displays as "account name". if i am positioned in cell A1, and i look at the fx bar, i do not see "account name", like one would think. instead, i see the following formula =detail!a1 this cell is referring to cell A1 in the adjacent tab, tab 2, of the workbook. how did the person who programmmed this do it please?. i need to know because i will need to do this sort of thing from now on, but the person who did it isn't available. thanks!

What was up with the Queer as Folk finale?

I know Im a lot behind the times, lol but I just finished the series on DVD, and I loved most of the series especially Debbie, and the bomb episode of the 5th season was incredible. But then he texted me later that night and we went out to eat pizza. Then we watched part of a movie at his frat house together and then later on we went up back to his dorm and smoked some hooka together. The next day(last saturday) he texted me again and we watched tv at his dorm and made out some more. After then he told me he liked spending time with me and we should hang out again, but now the whole week has gone by and it's friday and he hasnt called or texted me since Saturday. Do you think I should text him or not? I'm not sure if he still likes me or what?

It sounds to me like your self-esteem problems and inaccurate self-perceptions have led you to become anorexic. You can sustain yourself on the number of calories you are eating, but you are still being very hard on your body. Also, if you continue to believe that you are overweight (which isn't your fault that you believe that, it sounds to me like your brain actually perceives your body differently from the way other people do) you may cut even more calories, which is going to damage your heart, your hair, your bones, and everything. Can walking and talking green tea supplements help me loose weight?

i am 5 feet 7 inches and weigh 183 lbs. I know there is no magic pill that will burn all the fat away and I'm just going to start off with walking (brisk walking) for at least 30 minutes or an hour 5 days a week I'm asthmatic and i stay away from strenuous activities because of the way it makes me feel when I'm done and i do not have access to a gym :(. so I'm just asking will brisk walking and drinking lots of water everyday and taking green tea supplements help me at all?? if so can anyone estimate how long before i start seeing a little result?? oh and i don't normally eat junk food either.

How do I remove Ubuntu and put windows XP service pack 2 back?

i installed Ubuntu on a Fujitsu-Siemens notebook. i want to take it off and put winXP back. WinXP setup doesn't recognise the hard disk. Xp service pack 3 was able to install successfully, but i want service pack two. inserting the pk 2 cd and starting installation still doesn't work. i have even tried upgrading after a windows 98 installation. still didn't work. someone help me out. thanks

You have a fairly good QB in Carson Palmer, he has great receivers (Johnson, Housmanzadeh and Henry, although he's suspended for nine games) and should have another excellent year. Your strength is clearly RB. Tomlinson is well, no explanation needed. Clinton Portis is a question mark, but could without a doubt have a great year. Your wide receivers aren't fantastic. Braylon Edwards is a great player, but he plays on a god awful team. Look for Brady Quinn to take the starters role a little bit before half way through the season, thus making this more of a learning/developing year for Quinn and the Browns. That really limits the production of Edwards. Devin Hester is a speedy guy, but he's currently the fourth WR on his team, personally I have faith in him, and believe that he has the ability to tear it up on offense just like he did on special teams, but at the start of the season he'll be getting limited minutes. Also he recently injured his shoulder, and it's unclear how severe the injury is. He could be a bust, don't rely too heavily on him. Vernon Davis really is a strong TE, and a solid pick. He should put up good numbers this year. Jeff Wilkins wouldn't be my top choice, but he's a semi-reliable kicker. Shaun Merriman, wow, the guy is just incredible, even though he missed 4 games last year due to "substance abuse", he still lead the league in many defensive categories. Overall, your team is decent, your biggest weakness is at WR, i would suggest trying to trade Tatum Bell and Drew Bennett (Who won't have a great season as he also has Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce on his team) for a better WR.

Hunter and Dressage Show Clothes?

I would like to show both Hunter Jumper, Hunter flat cles and dressage this summer. My question is how do I work out buying only one outfit that I can show in both disciplines? I'm not loaded so we are going to try on jackets at a tack shop and then see if we can find the right size on ebay, but my trainer says that I need a different jacket and breeches for dressage. Can I get by with only one outfit at small local shows and maybe Youth Charity horse show in springfield, it's a three day long show. Thanks in advance.

the bucks are overloaded in the front court after the ford trade and now they must trade magloire for at least some depth.as of right now their starting 5 is Mo-Redd-Simmons-Vill-Bogut. reserves as of right now are: c.bell-d.noel-ilyasova-smith-gadz or magloire(at C). we are pretty thin at the reserves for Redd and simmons so trading magloire for some depth at those positions would be nice.Noel was a very good draft pick and could be a steal in the long term!. a good trade would be magloire for jerade jeffries and antonio daniels from the wizards ina sign and trade or maybe even getting al harrington for magloire in a sign and trade with the hawks.. i also head that the spurs are pursuing Magloire and are looking to deal brent barry and someone else for magloire. im not sure what the bucks r gonna do but expect magloire to be dealt and the bucks to have some minor free agent signings at PG(marcus banks?) and the F positions (for depth and because of smith's injury problems).
